Japanstreet products are not manufactured in Japan.
They are inspired by Japanese culture, design, and aesthetics in order to share the spirit, symbols, and beauty of Japan through each creation.
Our clothes do not carry the “Made in Japan” label, but our inspiration comes from there—from the streets of Tokyo, the workshops of Kyoto, and the markets of Osaka.
Our materials are chosen for durability (thick cotton, resistant linen) and our pieces are designed to be worn as they are in Japan: a denim kimono, a haori with sneakers.
At Japanstreet, we don't sell an origin, we share a spirit. 🇯🇵
This Blue Dragon Katana is a stunning blend of elegance, myth, and martial tradition. Inspired by ancient East Asian dragon iconography and samurai heritage, it features a deep sapphire-blue blade and ornate dragon motifs throughout its fittings. More than a decorative piece, this dragon katana sword is crafted for collectors who appreciate symbolic weapons with a strong visual impact.
The blade is forged from 1060 high-carbon steel, a durable and flexible material used in many real training-grade katanas. The defining feature of this piece is its blue blade finish, a mirror-polished steel core layered with a translucent blue coating that reflects light like flowing water. Symbolically, the blue dragon in Eastern mythology represents strength, wisdom, and divine protection, themes carried into the soul of this katana.
The tsuba (guard) is a masterpiece on its own. Cast in a silvery metal alloy, it features two detailed dragons intertwined in battle, hand-carved and set against a wave pattern backdrop. This isn’t just aesthetic; it captures the dual nature of the dragon: destructive and protective, spiritual and martial. In Japanese culture, the dragon is revered as a celestial creature, a bringer of storms, wisdom, and guidance to warriors on the path of Bushidō.
The tsuka (handle) is wrapped in deep navy blue cotton ito over synthetic white samegawa (ray skin), following traditional katana construction. Golden dragon menuki (ornamental inserts) are subtly embedded under the wrapping, adding an element of surprise and craftsmanship. The fuchi and kashira (collar and end cap) are engraved with wave and cloud patterns, reinforcing the elemental theme of water and wind surrounding the mythical beast.
The saya (scabbard) completes the katana’s visual language. A glossy black lacquer base is overlaid with vivid blue dragon patterns that shimmer under light. The sageo cord is navy, wrapped in the traditional style for proper tie and mounting. Every detail of the scabbard, from the kojiri (end cap) to the kurikata (knob for the cord), is functional and elegant, making this katana suitable for display, cosplay, or martial arts demonstrations.
Though not sharpened for cutting practice, this katana has proper weight, balance, and length (around 103 cm) to simulate real sword handling. It is perfect for enthusiasts of Japanese swords, fantasy weaponry, and Asian mythology.
