The Men's Japanese Silk Kimono 'Koniya' was made for exactly that kind of moment.
Across a ground of deep teal — the precise green of aged bronze, of deep forest shadow, of the sea on an overcast morning — phoenixes sweep and spiral in burnished copper and gold. Their plumes fan outward in every direction, filling the fabric from shoulder to hem with the kinetic energy of flight frozen at its most magnificent. There is no empty space in this composition. Every inch carries the richness of a garment designed to be extraordinary.
The satin-like finish of the fabric catches light the way precious things do — differently at every angle, the copper threads shifting between warm gold and deep bronze as the kimono moves. Wide sleeves amplify the drama, the full floor-length cut allowing the composition to unfold in its entirety.
