This Tanjiro Katana is an exceptional reproduction of the iconic Nichirin Blade wielded by Tanjiro Kamado, protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Known for its simplicity and deadly elegance, Tanjiro’s katana evolves alongside him, a weapon of resilience, humility, and unwavering determination. This replica captures that spirit in stunning detail, making it a must-have for collectors, anime fans, and martial arts enthusiasts alike.
Forged from 1060 high-carbon steel, the blade delivers authenticity, durability, and a realistic feel. It features the signature black Nichirin finish, a color achieved in the anime only by a select few Demon Slayers. According to Demon Slayer lore, a black blade is rare and mysterious, a visual metaphor for Tanjiro’s unknown potential and unique path. The blade is accented with a distinct white hamon and features the kanji for “Slay” (滅) etched near the habaki, just like in the anime.
With an overall length of ~103 cm and a blade length of approximately 72 cm, the sword has ideal proportions for display or cosplay. Though unsharpened, the steel construction and weight (~1.2 kg) make it perfect for martial arts kata or realistic roleplay.

The tsuba (guard) is a bold red circle with jagged flame-like edges, a shape unique to Tanjiro’s katana and symbolic of his connection to the Hinokami Kagura, the Dance of the Fire God. This crossover between the Water Breathing and Sun Breathing techniques is central to Tanjiro’s growth and identity, and the design of the guard reflects that fusion of strength and tradition.
The tsuka (handle) is wrapped in black cotton ito with red diamond patterns peeking through the synthetic ray skin, evoking both discipline and danger. The fittings are completed with metallic silver details at the kashira (pommel) and fuchi, contrasting perfectly with the dark blade and matching the anime’s visual cues.
The saya (scabbard) is made of lacquered wood in matte black with silver metallic accents at both ends, staying true to the sword’s understated yet noble appearance. The sageo cord is tied in black, matching the somber and serious tone of Tanjiro’s character and mission.
This katana is more than just a prop, it’s a tribute to Tanjiro Kamado’s journey, his compassion for others, and his ironclad resolve to defeat Muzan and protect his sister.
