The Wado Ichimonji Katana is more than just a sword, it's a symbol of loyalty, honor, and legacy in the One Piece universe. As the first and most treasured blade in Zoro’s arsenal, it carries deep emotional weight. Originally forged by the legendary swordsmith Shimotsuki Kozaburo and entrusted to Zoro after the death of his childhood friend Kuina, the Wado Ichimonji stands as a tribute to bushidō, tradition, and unbreakable will.
This Wado Ichimonji Katana replica is crafted with impressive attention to detail, making it an exceptional piece for collectors and anime fans alike. Forged from 1060 high-carbon steel, the blade is slightly curved with a clean satin finish, honoring the simplicity and nobility of the original Meitō. The sword’s aesthetic remains loyal to its anime counterpart: unembellished, dignified, and elegant, reflecting the ideal samurai spirit.
The blade length is approximately 72 cm, with a full sword length of 103 cm, and it has the correct weight and balance to replicate the experience of holding a real katana. A legendary sword passed down through will and destiny
The tsuba (guard) is circular and painted matte black with a golden rim, just like in the anime. Its minimalist design symbolizes the refined and straightforward nature of Zoro's swordsmanship, no flashy flair, only strength, focus, and mastery. The tsuka (handle) is traditionally wrapped in white ito over black samegawa (ray skin), following classic Japanese koshirae style, providing excellent grip and an authentic look.
The saya (scabbard) is finished in pure white lacquer, a rarity among katana designs, and matched with a white sageo cord, creating a sense of purity and balance that aligns with the spiritual harmony the Wado Ichimonji represents. The kojiri and koiguchi are capped in gold alloy for durability and aesthetic contrast.
