The wide workwear pant banded with kanji and gold waves
Takumi means 'artisan', and these wide workwear pants wear the word like a banner — literally. Two embroidered bands run down the front on a flash of pink, stacked with calligraphic kanji, a white crane in flight and, at the foot, a golden wave curling under scrolling gold clouds. Part workshop trouser, part street statement, loud in a way that feels designed rather than accidental.
The width is the foundation. Pleats at the waist throw fullness through the hip and thigh, and the leg tapers to a drawstring-cuffed ankle, so they read genuinely wide and easy without dragging on the floor. The linen-blend keeps all that volume cool, with real room to move.

- Machine wash cold, 30°C / 86°F maximum — heat is what fades and shrinks
- Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colors
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent; skip the fabric softener on printed or embroidered pieces
- Do not bleach
- Hang to dry in the shade — avoid the tumble dryer, which is the fastest way to ruin the fit
- Iron on low heat if needed, and always inside out over prints or embroidery
- For anything delicate or unusual, follow the inner label first
