The noren rippling with blue waves across cream rows
This noren prints repeating rows of breaking waves in blue and turquoise across a cream ground, the crests detailed with speckled white foam in the classic woodblock-seascape style. The rounded rows give it a steady, rhythmic feel that fills the panel without overwhelming it. The speckled foam gives each crest a soft, woodblock-printed texture against the warm ground.
A noren is the traditional Japanese fabric divider hung in a doorway, slit up the middle so you can pass through while it still screens the space beyond. This wave pattern keeps the ukiyo-e seascape spirit but in a softer, two-blue palette on warm cream.
Hung across a doorway, it screens the space while the central split lets you pass straight through and keeps air and light moving. The same panel works over a window, between rooms, or pinned flat as a textile wall piece. Looped over a hook, it can frame an opening as easily as screen it.
The blue-and-turquoise waves on cream feel fresh and coastal, pairing easily with wood, neutral walls and greenery. It strikes a balance between the striking navy prints and the most minimal designs, decorative but never loud.
Printed with rows of blue waves on cream and split for easy passage, it brings rhythmic seascape calm to a doorway. A noren for anyone who wants classic waves in a soft two-blue palette.
Beyond the doorway, it brings a fresh, coastal calm wherever it hangs — a bathroom entrance, a bedroom nook, or a kitchen opening. Light and easy to care for, it goes up and comes down in moments, so you can move it around the home or swap it with the seasons without any fuss or special handling.
Sizing: this noren comes in several formats, from around 55 x 90 cm up to 90 x 150 cm. Measure your doorway and pick the size from the selector above; a shorter drop suits a window or half-height opening, a longer one curtains a full doorway.

Japan Clothing is inspired by Japan, not made in Japan — and we want you to know it. Every piece in our collection draws from Japanese culture, design, and street style: from the energy of Tokyo's neighborhoods to the calm of Kyoto's workshops, from the prints of vintage textiles to the silhouettes of modern streetwear. We translate that inspiration into clothing designed for daily wear, anywhere in the world.
Our pieces are produced through manufacturing partners in Asia who share our standards for quality and craft. The exact composition of each piece is listed on its product page and inner label.
We don't sell an origin. We share a spirit.
