The short navy nightdress with cranes flying overhead
Navy gives the cranes a night sky to fly across. This short kimono-style nightdress, cut in a lightweight, satin-finish fabric, prints white cranes in flight over a deep navy ground and ties at the waist with a self belt — the darkest blue in the short line, deeper and cooler than the others, the cranes reading like pale birds against dusk.
The satin-finish fabric gives the navy a soft sheen, the white cranes clear against it, printed rather than woven so the wings stay crisp. The short cut falls to mid-thigh, the wrap front closing left over right, the belt set as loose as you like.
Navy is the deep, calming blue — darker than the sky tones elsewhere in the range, restful rather than bright. The white cranes carry the contrast so the piece never reads flat, scattered across body and sleeves.
