The short bordeaux nightdress with cranes in flight
Bordeaux is the deep, wine-dark end of red, and against it the pale cranes almost lift off. This short kimono-style nightdress is cut in a lightweight, satin-finish fabric, printed with pink-and-white cranes in flight and tied at the waist with a self belt. It stops above the knee — the warm-toned, cosy-feeling one in the short-crane line.
The satin-finish fabric gives the bordeaux a deep sheen, the cranes reading clear against it, printed rather than woven so the wings stay crisp. The short cut falls to mid-thigh, the wrap front closing left over right, the belt set as loose as you like — light and smooth on the skin.
