The sukajan where the white tiger faces the red dragon
This is a clash of two guardian spirits. The back of this sukajan pits Byakko, the white tiger of the west, against a red dragon in a swirling, full-colour showdown — claws, fangs and teal waves locked together across the whole panel. Embroidered in dense raised thread, it's one of the most spectacular back pieces in the range.
The embroidery does the heavy lifting. Worked in real relief with the texture and sheen of true thread, the white tiger and red dragon stand off the satin-finish shell in vivid detail, the teal and crimson tones glowing against the ground. There's movement and tension in every stitch — two powers caught mid-battle.
It's reversible, so the duel plays out on two grounds: a warm Khaki side in soft camel, and a clean White side in cream. Both keep the classic sukajan build: a ribbed collar, snap-button front and ribbed cuffs and hem, in a smooth, light satin-finish fabric that drapes rather than stiffens.
It's heritage streetwear at full volume. The sukajan was born as a post-war Yokosuka souvenir jacket, and a dramatic creature battle like this is the tradition at its boldest — wear it open over a plain white tee and dark denim, let the tiger and dragon dominate, keep the rest simple.
