The sukajan where two dragons twist among peonies
Two dragons are better than one. The back of this sukajan sets a white dragon and a red dragon twisting together among full peonies, a dense, dramatic tangle embroidered in raised thread across a dark ground with red sleeves. It's one of the boldest, most ornamental back pieces in the range.
The embroidery is rich and dimensional. Worked in real relief with the sheen of true thread, the pale and red dragons coil off the satin-finish shell, the peonies blooming between them in soft detail. The two-dragon composition gives it symmetry and movement at once — power doubled, framed by flowers.
The dark body and red sleeves give it heat, the white-and-red dragons providing the drama. The jacket keeps the classic sukajan build: a ribbed collar, snap-button front and ribbed cuffs and hem, in a smooth, light satin-finish fabric with a soft sheen that drapes rather than stiffens.
