The collared shirt scattered with cats and calligraphy
Not an open haori but a proper collared shirt, this kimono shirt covers itself in cats — seated, prowling and beckoning — among scattered kanji and small motifs. It's the casual, button-up cousin of the kimono jacket: the same Japanese spirit, in a shape you can wear closed and tucked in.
The all-over cat print is the charm. Repeated across the whole shirt rather than placed on the back, the felines and characters give it a busy, playful, slightly retro feel, while the lustrous satin-finish cloth keeps it smooth and a little dressy.
