Japanese Matcha Set — Four-Piece Whisk, Bowl and Scoop
Matcha is not brewed but suspended — powdered green tea whisked into hot water until it holds a fine foam — and doing it well takes the right few tools rather than many. This four-piece set gathers exactly those: a ceramic bowl, a bamboo whisk, a whisk stand and a bamboo scoop, which is the full working kit and nothing beyond it.
The chawan, the bowl, is wide and low at roughly 14 by 8 cm — proportions that matter, because a narrow cup gives the whisk no room to move and the foam never builds. The chasen, the whisk, is cut from a single piece of bamboo into dozens of fine tines; it is the part that does the real work, breaking up the powder and drawing air into the tea. The chashaku scoop measures the matcha, and the stand holds the whisk tines-up between uses so they keep their shape and dry properly, which is what makes a bamboo whisk last.
Together these turn a tin of matcha into a daily practice rather than an occasional effort. The bowl comes in two finishes, white and black, each setting off the green of the tea differently — the white for brightness, the black for depth.

Our pieces are cut to Asian sizing, which runs smaller than US sizing — so as a rule, order one size up from your usual size. The exceptions are t-shirts and hoodies, which run true to size, so take your usual size for those. Every product page has its own size chart with exact measurements taken flat, so you can compare against a piece you already own. Still caught between two sizes? Materials vary from piece to piece — some are 100% cotton, others polyester, satin-finish, or a blend, depending on the design. You'll find the exact composition in the product description above, and it's always printed on the inner label of the garment itself. When the two ever differ, trust the label.
A little care goes a long way with these pieces. To keep colors deep and fabric intact:
- Machine wash cold, 30°C / 86°F maximum — heat is what fades and shrinks
- Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colors
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent; skip the fabric softener on printed or embroidered pieces
- Do not bleach
- Hang to dry in the shade — avoid the tumble dryer, which is the fastest way to ruin the fit
- Iron on low heat if needed, and always inside out over prints or embroidery
- For anything delicate or unusual, follow the inner label first
