This Japanese folding fan sets the same iconic view against dramatic black. On a deep black leaf, a pale gray-white Fujisan rises to one side while pink cherry blossom scatters across the dark ground, petals catching the light like they've been caught mid-fall. The black base gives the whole scene a night-time, lacquer-box richness that the paler fans can't match.
Black has long been a prized ground in Japanese decorative art, from maki-e lacquerware to inked screens — a color that makes every other tone glow. Here it turns Mount Fuji and the sakura into something quietly theatrical: the mountain floating ghost-pale, the blossoms bright against the dark, the composition weighted toward mood rather than mere prettiness.

The exceptions are t-shirts and hoodies, which run true to size, so take your usual size for those. Materials vary from piece to piece — some are 100% cotton, others polyester, satin-finish, or a blend, depending on the design. You'll find the exact composition in the product description above, and it's always printed on the inner label of the garment itself. When the two ever differ, trust the label.
A little care goes a long way with these pieces. To keep colors deep and fabric intact:
- Machine wash cold, 30°C / 86°F maximum — heat is what fades and shrinks
- Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colors
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent; skip the fabric softener on printed or embroidered pieces
- Do not bleach
- Hang to dry in the shade — avoid the tumble dryer, which is the fastest way to ruin the fit
- Iron on low heat if needed, and always inside out over prints or embroidery
- For anything delicate or unusual, follow the inner label first
