The black kimono you can't lose yourself inside
Black does the work most colours can't: it puts the wearer first. Sakurako runs pink cherry blossom up panels of deep black, edged with white patterned borders down the front and around the cuffs, so the flowers read clearly without swallowing you the way an all-over pastel can. You stay the subject; the print stays the setting.
It's a full-length cotton kimono, printed rather than woven, so the blossom and the white borders stay sharp against the black. The cotton is lightweight and breathable — closer to a summer yukata than a heavy ceremonial robe, and easy to wear for a full evening.

A little care goes a long way with these pieces. To keep colors deep and fabric intact:
- Machine wash cold, 30°C / 86°F maximum — heat is what fades and shrinks
- Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colors
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent; skip the fabric softener on printed or embroidered pieces
- Do not bleach
- Hang to dry in the shade — avoid the tumble dryer, which is the fastest way to ruin the fit
- Iron on low heat if needed, and always inside out over prints or embroidery
- For anything delicate or unusual, follow the inner label first
