Catch this one mid-step and it does something a flat skirt can't: the pleats fan, the sheer outer layer lifts, and a dusty-rose haze drifts around the legs. It's the most romantic piece in the line, and the construction is what earns that.
Two layers are at work. Underneath sits a wide, cropped culotte for full coverage to mid-calf. Over it falls a finely pleated, semi-sheer overlay, plus a crossover apron panel that wraps the front and fastens with a slim self-tie at the side — the knot that nods straight to the traditional hakama waist.
The color isn't a loud pink. Pinkugakatta lands closer to dusty rose or muted mauve, a powdery, grayed-down tone that stays gentle in daylight. - Iron on low heat if needed, and always inside out over prints or embroidery
