This is the pair you'll actually reach for on a normal morning. Wide navy legs, an ecru drawstring, and two big cargo-style patch pockets on the front — the hakama silhouette dialed down into something that handles a real day without thinking about it.
The legs are full and roomy to the ankle, dropping from a relaxed elastic waist. The pale ecru cord sits against the deep blue at the waist, and the two oversized flat pockets ride forward on the hips — deep enough to be useful and large enough to define the front of the trouser.
It's pure cotton in a slightly heathered navy, with a dry matte hand and enough body to hold the wide leg without going stiff. The blue is muted and chambray-flecked rather than flat, so it sits closer to workwear denim in spirit than to a dress navy. - Machine wash cold, 30°C / 86°F maximum — heat is what fades and shrinks
- Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colors
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent; skip the fabric softener on printed or embroidered pieces
- Do not bleach
- Hang to dry in the shade — avoid the tumble dryer, which is the fastest way to ruin the fit
- Iron on low heat if needed, and always inside out over prints or embroidery
- For anything delicate or unusual, follow the inner label first
