The longest pleats in the line, in soft slate blue
Where the other pleated pieces stop at the calf, this one keeps going — a longer midi sweep that turns walking into something closer to gliding. The extra length is the whole appeal: more cloth, more swing, more of that slow vertical fall.
The name says cyan, but the real tone is gentler: a dusty slate blue, gray-leaning and powdery, the color of mist over water rather than anything bright. It calms the whole silhouette and keeps the piece quiet even with all that movement built into it.
Construction is two-layer. A solid culotte sits underneath for coverage; over it falls a finely pleated, semi-sheer overlay with a slim self-tie at the side waist — the knot that carries the hakama lineage. The whole thing is polyester, the fiber that lets those full-length pleats stay sharp and lift on the air rather than hanging dead.
It reads dressed without trying, fitted at the waist and full to the hem. Wear it with a tucked white shirt and flat sandals for daytime, or a slim dark knit and low heels for evening; the long pleated fall flatters with almost anything tucked in.
