The furoshiki streaming with drifting pink cherry blossom

This furoshiki scatters cherry blossom across a soft pink ground, the flowers tumbling in pink, white and lavender among diagonal bands of speckled red that suggest a flowing stream carrying petals downstream. The name nagare means flow, and the whole cloth has that sense of blossom drifting on moving water.

The density is the charm: small sakura blooms crowd the surface from edge to edge, the diagonal red streams running through them like currents, the occasional gold accent catching the light. It's a busy, joyful spring pattern, soft in palette but full of life and motion. The speckled red streams give the soft scene a surprising sense of energy and direction.

A furoshiki is a square of cloth used to wrap and carry, the centuries-old Japanese alternative to a bag or paper. At 50 by 145 cm this is a generous, elongated panel: knot it around a gift, fold it into a carry-all, wear it as a scarf, or drape it as decor.

The smooth surface knots cleanly and holds a fold, tying into neat bundles without slipping. Reusable by design, it replaces single-use wrapping — and its fresh, blossom-strewn pattern makes it an especially pretty way to wrap a spring or springtime-birthday gift.

Hand-washable and made to be reused again and again, it folds away to almost nothing. A drifting-blossom furoshiki for anyone who loves sakura at its softest and most abundant, caught mid-flow.

It slips naturally into daily use, too — as a bento wrap, a soft bag for small things, a hair scarf, or a fresh spring accent draped over a shelf. The drifting-petal pattern feels especially fitting for spring gifting, but its soft, pretty palette keeps it welcome the whole year round.

  • Japan Clothing is inspired by Japan, not made in Japan — and we want you to know it. Every piece in our collection draws from Japanese culture, design, and street style: from the energy of Tokyo's neighborhoods to the calm of Kyoto's workshops, from the prints of vintage textiles to the silhouettes of modern streetwear. We translate that inspiration into clothing designed for daily wear, anywhere in the world.

Our pieces are produced through manufacturing partners in Asia who share our standards for quality and craft. The exact composition of each piece is listed on its product page and inner label.

We don't sell an origin. We share a spirit.
