The denim shorts torn apart and stitched back together
These distressed denim shorts look like they survived something. The dark blue denim is shredded across the thighs and hem, ripped through and patched back from the inside, edges left to fray into pale fringe — denim taken to the destroyed end of the spectrum and held there on purpose.
Done badly, this look is just scruffy. Done like this, it's deliberate: the rips are layered and backed where it counts, the frayed lines follow the grain, and the dark wash keeps the whole thing moody instead of tired. It reads like real wear pushed past the point of repair — the punk-leaning, lived-hard aesthetic, manufactured but convincing.
Relaxed and knee-length, with the easy width the cut wants. Underneath the carnage it's a solid five-pocket short, sturdier on than it looks on the hanger.

A little care goes a long way with these pieces. To keep colors deep and fabric intact:
- Machine wash cold, 30°C / 86°F maximum — heat is what fades and shrinks
- Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colors
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent; skip the fabric softener on printed or embroidered pieces
- Do not bleach
- Hang to dry in the shade — avoid the tumble dryer, which is the fastest way to ruin the fit
- Iron on low heat if needed, and always inside out over prints or embroidery
- For anything delicate or unusual, follow the inner label first
