The black kimono that saves its colour for the hem
It stays dark where it counts and lets go at the floor. Botanya keeps a black satin-finish ground clear and glossy through the upper body, then fills the lower half with wisteria, peonies and coloured blossom — the bottom-weighted layout that keeps the torso clean and gathers the colour where the kimono sweeps as you move.
The lightweight, satin-finish fabric gives the black a liquid sheen and lets the lower-body flowers read clear against it, with gold line-work catching light at the edges. It falls in that fluid kimono-robe way rather than holding a stiff shape.

A little care goes a long way with these pieces. To keep colors deep and fabric intact:
- Machine wash cold, 30°C / 86°F maximum — heat is what fades and shrinks
- Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colors
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent; skip the fabric softener on printed or embroidered pieces
- Do not bleach
- Hang to dry in the shade — avoid the tumble dryer, which is the fastest way to ruin the fit
- Iron on low heat if needed, and always inside out over prints or embroidery
- For anything delicate or unusual, follow the inner label first
