The sukajan where a golden phoenix rises over midnight blue
The phoenix — hō-ō — is the bird of rebirth and good fortune in Japanese myth, and on this sukajan it spreads its wings in full glory. Embroidered in gold and cream across a deep midnight-blue back, its tail streams out in long, fiery plumes, with a golden dragon coiling on the reverse face. Rebirth and power, on one jacket.
The embroidery carries the whole piece. Stitched in relief with real thread, the phoenix's feathers catch the light against the dark blue satin-finish shell, every plume raised and detailed. It's elegant rather than aggressive — the kind of mythical back piece that looks as rich up close as it does from across a room.
It's reversible, so you get the phoenix on one side and the golden dragon on the other, both set against that deep blue. The jacket keeps the classic sukajan build throughout: a ribbed collar, snap-button front and ribbed cuffs and hem, in a smooth, light satin-finish fabric with a soft sheen that drapes easily.
