The red nightdress that turns the peacock warm
Set the peacock on red and the whole piece runs warm. This long nightdress, cut kimono-style in a lightweight, satin-finish fabric, prints the bird and plum branches over a deep red ground, the cool blue-green of the peacock striking against the heat of the base — the sharpest contrast in the peacock line, hot ground against cool bird.
The satin-finish fabric gives the red a deep, glowing sheen, the printed peacock and pale plum reading clear against it, printed rather than woven so the detail holds. It falls long and fluid, the wrap front closing left over right, the self belt set as loose as suits you.

A little care goes a long way with these pieces. To keep colors deep and fabric intact:
- Machine wash cold, 30°C / 86°F maximum — heat is what fades and shrinks
- Turn the garment inside out and wash with similar colors
- Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent; skip the fabric softener on printed or embroidered pieces
- Do not bleach
- Hang to dry in the shade — avoid the tumble dryer, which is the fastest way to ruin the fit
- Iron on low heat if needed, and always inside out over prints or embroidery
- For anything delicate or unusual, follow the inner label first
