Japanstreet products are not manufactured in Japan.
They are inspired by Japanese culture, design, and aesthetics in order to share the spirit, symbols, and beauty of Japan through each creation.
Our clothes do not carry the “Made in Japan” label, but our inspiration comes from there—from the streets of Tokyo, the workshops of Kyoto, and the markets of Osaka.
Our materials are chosen for durability (thick cotton, resistant linen) and our pieces are designed to be worn as they are in Japan: a denim kimono, a haori with sneakers.
At Japanstreet, we don't sell an origin, we share a spirit. 🇯🇵
Raijin Sukajan Jacket ‘Ten no Ikazuchi’ – Japanese Thunder God Embroidered Jacket
The Raijin Sukajan ‘Ten no Ikazuchi’ draws directly from one of the most iconic figures in Japanese mythology: Raijin, the god of thunder. Recognizable by his powerful stance and the drums surrounding him, Raijin represents strength, chaos, and raw energy. This design captures that intensity through detailed embroidery, where lightning patterns, clouds, and traditional motifs surround the character, creating a strong visual impact rooted in Japanese culture.
This sukajan jacket follows the legacy of post-war Japanese souvenir jackets, originally crafted in Yokosuka. Over time, these jackets became a symbol of identity, mixing military influence with traditional Japanese art. Here, Raijin is reinterpreted in a modern streetwear piece, combining heritage and contemporary style in a way that fits naturally into today’s fashion.
Made entirely from polyester, with a smooth inner lining also in polyester, the jacket offers a lightweight yet structured feel. The satin-like finish enhances the embroidery and gives depth to the design. The ribbed cuffs, collar, and hem provide a clean fit, while the full-zip closure makes it easy to wear daily.
Available in two color variations (Red and Beige), this sukajan adapts easily to different outfits. It works as a statement piece or layered over a minimal look.
