Cropped, wide, charcoal, with two big patch pockets
This is the hakama idea pulled into something you'd wear to the studio or the corner store. No sash, no ceremony — just a wide cropped trouser in charcoal black with a pale drawstring and two oversized patch pockets riding high on the front. Utility, not costume.
The legs are cut full and roomy but stop clean at the ankle, so the volume reads modern rather than flowing. A light cord cinches the elastic waist, and the two large flat pockets sit forward on the hips like a worker's apron — practical, deep, and the main visual signature of the cut.
