Japanstreet products are not manufactured in Japan.
They are inspired by Japanese culture, design, and aesthetics in order to share the spirit, symbols, and beauty of Japan through each creation.
Our clothes do not carry the “Made in Japan” label, but our inspiration comes from there—from the streets of Tokyo, the workshops of Kyoto, and the markets of Osaka.
Our materials are chosen for durability (thick cotton, resistant linen) and our pieces are designed to be worn as they are in Japan: a denim kimono, a haori with sneakers.
At Japanstreet, we don't sell an origin, we share a spirit. 🇯🇵
Noren with kanagawa wave patterns
If you're looking to add a Japanese touch to your décor, noren is certainly the ornament of choice. These banners, formerly affixed to shop entrances, are mostly used to divide two spaces within the home. These large rectangular scrolls are cut in the middle to allow passage while preserving discretion.
This Japanese kakejiku features the iconic engraving by the undisputed master Hokusai: The Great Wave of Kanagawa.
Japanese curtains can also be used for other purposes: window sheers, wardrobe doors, wall embellishments...
Material : Made from 100% linen
Embroidered in the traditional way
Maximum comfort: soft to the touch
